Wage Negotiation for Non-executive
Employees of BSNL Started
Committee met on 3rd March, 2009
The Committee
formed for discussion on Wage Negotiation for Non-executive Employees of BSNL met on 3rd
March, 2009 presided by Shri R.K. Batra, PGM (IR). Members from Official Side participated.
The following
three sub committee constituted to examine and report to the Chairman before 25.03.2009.
1.
Revision of Pay scales.
2.
Perks & Allowances.
3.
Pension.
A demand that
agreement should be for five years was placed before the management.
The Staff side
also demanded that the HRA should be immediately revised for non-executives as already decided in the case of executives. The Chairman stated that it would be favourably considered.
The next meeting will be held in
the last week of March 2009.
50% IDA Merger for Retired Employees
BSNL Board on 12-11-2008 has decided for merger of 50% IDA to BSNL retired employees and File is sent
to DOT on 24.11.08 for approval. DoT orders for 60:40 and orders,giving consent for 60.40 issue modified and DoT
accepted full liability for Pension. Order issued and printed in our quarterly magazine January 2009 issue.GS was in Delhi
in Second Week of February 2009 to pursue. Mr.K. Vallinayagam, GS FNTO met Member Secretary and Member Finance on 16.02.2009
who assured early action in the matter.

Shri D.D. Mistry, G.S. of the Association was honoured in 25th
Annual General Body Meeting of the P&T & Other Central Govt. Pensioners Association at Medical Hall, Ahmedabad. Shri
R.K. Saiyed, Retired Secretary Ministry of Communication and President, conferred honour on D.D. Mistry for his examplary
activies in the field of BSNL & DoT Pensioners welfare through BSNL & DoT Pensioners Association and regulary relrease
of informative quarterly magazine BSNL PENSIONERS NEWS Gujarat.
Shri D.D. Mistry expressed his thanks to the Association for the
same.
October 2008 issue of BSNL Pensioners News, Gujarat, Diwali issue,
52 coloured pages, is despatched to all members. The member who have not received, should contact the Association office.
Anomaly of October 2000: It will be settled shortly before starting
Wage Revision Negotiation. It is expected that within one month, the issue will be over.
BSNL PENSIONERS TELEPHONE DIRECTORY 2008 has been sent to all the
Members at their residential address by ordinary post.
Next issue will be released in January 2009.

First Bi-Annual Conference of the Association 15.06.2008
The First Bi-Annual Conference of the BSNL & DOT Pensioners Association, Gujarat Circle,
was held on 15.06.2008. It was decided to enroll Associate Members from other Circle at par with the Circle with slight
difference in membership status. Now, only life member will be enrolled with one time fee of Rs.500/- inclusive of admission
fee. Administrative charge of Rs.50/- per calendar will be collected from the members to meet with the expenditure of quarterly
get-to-gather, magazine and extra activities. The charges will be applicable for embers of Gujarat State. S/Shri
A.N. Patel, J.B. Kumpavat, D.D. Mistry and V.N. Changawala were elected as President, Working President, General Secretary
& Treasurer respectively for ensuing terms.

Pensioner above 70 years were facilitate in the function. A BSNL Pensioners Directory 2008, containing 200 pages was also
released to mark the event. It contains useful data for 738 members, useful forms for Pensioners, various provision of BSNL
MRS Rules, List of Empanelled Hospitals in Gujarat, Various provision for SE DOT Phone Connections and other useful information,.
The Directory costing Rs. 110/- will be distributed free of charge to its members .
